A cultural haven, Christchurch is full of rich history, a thriving arts scene, botanic gardens, museums, breweries, cafes and much more. Highlights include the arts centre, dating from 1877.

Watch the steam rise amid murmurs of conversation as you sit back and relax in Hanmer Springs’ natural hot pools, explore charming townships, boutique galleries and hidden bays in Akaroa and Banks Peninsula or enjoy the delights of the North Canterbury wine region.

Included in your tour is a day trip north to beautiful Hanmer Springs, which has a slightly European feel and is ringed in mountains. The town is the South Islands main thermal resort, and its as relaxing or adrenaline pumping as you’d like. You will play the very popular country golf course which boasts some of North Canterbury’s finest scenery.Finish the day by relaxing at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa.

Additionally, a day trip to the unspoilt old French whaling depot of Akaroa, with a two-hour cruise on the Canterbury Cat exploring the delights of Akaroa Harbour and sighting dolphins, penguins and seals.

  • Day 1 (Sun 24th Nov) – arrive at Christchurch Airport. Transfers from airport to Quest Hotel, your home for next 9 nights. Rest of the day to get settled in. Later in the day, we have a happy hour, so everyone can get to know each other.
  • Day 2 (Mon 25th Nov) – Golf Day at Harewood Golf Club. You will be transferred to Harewood GC for challengingday out with spectacular views of the Southern Alps and the Port Hills in the background, you’re sure to enjoy your day.Happy Hour once we get back to Quest to debrief on the days play.
  • Day 3 (Tue 26th Nov) – Free Day to start exploring what Christchurch has to offer. Why not do the tram city tour or Punting on the River Avon.
  • Day 4 (Wed 27th Nov) – Golf Day at Waitikiri Golf Club one of the premier courses in the South Island. Happy Hour once we get back to your accommodationto debrief on the days play and see who is leading the competition.
  • Day 5 (Thu 28th Nov) – Day trip to Akaroa. Travel to Akaroa via Sign of Takahe, Sign of Kiwi, GovernersBay, Gebbies Pass, Lake Forsyth and Little River, Stop at the Hill Top to experience panoramic views of Akaroa Harbour, Visit the cheese factory at Barry’s Bay and sample some fine New Zealand cheese, Lunch in the naturally picturesque setting of Akaroa Village at the popular Bully Hayes Restaurant. In the afternoon enjoy a two-hour cruise on the Canterbury Cat exploring the delights of Akaroa Harbour and sighting dolphins, penguins and seals.
  • Day 6 (Fri 29th Nov) – Golf Day at Christchurch Golf Club, second oldest club in New Zealand. Christchurch Golf Club has played host to numerous championships. Happy Hour once we are settled back at the accommodation.
  • Day 7 (Sat 30th Nov) – Free Day.Recommend trying the Waipara Wine Trail Tour from Christchurch.A tour that explores 4 of North Canterbury’s boutique vineyards, with complimentary wine tastings at each of the wineries.
  • Day 8 (Sun 1st Dec) – Day trip/Golf Dayat Hanmer Springs Alpine resort including golf at Hanmer Springs Golf Club.You will be picked up from your accommodation and transferred 1.5 hours north to the beautiful alpine village Hanmer Springs.Included is access to Hanmer Springs Thermal pools for a relaxing dip in the hot pools. Happy Hour and a chance to check the leaderboard for the golf comp.
  • Day 9 (Mon 2nd Dec) – Golf Day at Clearwater, which is consistently ranked as one of the best courses in New Zealand. Happy Hour follows golf once everyone is settled back at the headquarters, and a chance to mingle with new friends for the last time.
  • Day 10 (Tue 3rd Dec) – time to go home I’m afraid, but I am sure you will be back next year. Transfers to Christchurch airport for your flight home.

Clearwater Golf ClubClearwater was ranked as the best course in New Zealand and Oceania at both the 2015,2016 & 2017 World Gold Awards. The Clearwater Golf Course has proven itself as a venue for international professional golf over 13 consecutive years, yet it offers a rewarding experience to all visitors from the six tee choices. Walk in the footsteps of Clearwater graduates such as Jason Dufner, Bubba Watson, Jason Day. Jimmy Walker and most recently Lydia Ko, who in February 2015 posted a course and career record low score of 61 whilst ranked as the World Number 1 female player.

Christchurch Golf Club – The Christchurch Golf Club, at Shirley Links, has a heritage that dates back to 1873 making it the second oldest club in New Zealand, and the seventh oldest outside the UK.Christchurch Golf Club has played host to numerous championships including hosting the New Zealand open on no less than eleven separate occasions. However,its greatest honour was to host the World Amateur Championship for the Eisenhower Trophy in 1990. New Zealands most famous golfer Bob Charles has strong links with the club. He joined the club as a 20 year old and from their launched his professional career. He is now the club’s patron.

Harewood Golf Club -The Harewood Golf Club holds a fond place in the heart of Christchurch’s golfing community, with a challenging, contrasting course offering something for players of all skill levels.Harewood Golf Club is proud to offer you the Woodlands Course, a challenging, and contrasting golf course. The Woodlands course is very well drained and has excellent greens, year-round. The fairways seem relatively flat but are, in fact, deceptively undulating.  When you add in the spectacular views of the Southern Alps and the Port Hills in the background, you’re sure to enjoy your day.

Hanmer Springs Golf Club – Hanmer Springs is a quaint alpine village situated 135 km North West of Christchurch. A beautiful scenic drive that takes approx. 1½ hours from Christchurch is the perfect place to spend a day relaxing and playing golf. Certainly, a place you will never forget.
